The Prospect/Field Evaluation module uses probability distributions for each of the input variables in the standard volumetric equation to estimate the possible range of reserves (or more properly hydrocarbon resource) of a potential or discovered hydrocarbon volume. Where the resource is not yet discovered, the chance of success is also estimated.
